Tuesday, 13 January 2009

Pho Si Si arrived to SAW's safe House in 2005. He was just four months old when he was referred. He was born premature and delivered by caesarian birth. His mother died after his birth. He had difficult breathing when he was too young. He is able to do things himself like eating and cleaning. Now, he goes to school as he turns to four. Before he went to school, he attached the adult. He is happy at the preschool and obeys the school rules.

Social Action for Women (SAW) was founded in June 25, 2000 to assist displaced women from Burma who are in crisis situations after having fled to Mae Sod, Thailand. SAW is based in Mae Sod and was established to support women facing difficulties through the provision of shelter, health education, rights awareness, counseling, and vocational training for unskilled women.
